Members of Newcastle swingers club 'forced to stop boozing hours before sex parties end'

Newcastle's only swingers club, Shhh, is now applying to extend its alcohol licence

Council red tape means swingers are being forced to stop boozing up to FOUR hours before their x-rated parties end.

Raunchy Newcastle establishment 'Shhh', which opened last summer, is the city's only swingers club.

It regularly hosts saucy events and previously advertised a Disney-themed event with participants encouraged to dress as Micky Mouse and Donald Duck.

However, public records show the city centre venue, which opens as late as 4am, only currently has an alcohol licence until midnight at weekends and 10pm during the week.

The Blandford Street club has now asked Newcastle City Council for an alcohol licence until 2am for each night of the week.

Bosses claim they previously had permission but the licence "reverted" after previous holders declined to pay a levy.
